My inspiration and the source of my love for woodwork came from my Uncle Mark Romero. He was a affluent and successful Southwest Furniture Maker. He made his first chair in his school woodworking class and the rest was history. He spent the rest of his life perfecting his skills and becoming renown in his field. He made furniture that still can be seen around the Southwest including the in Santa Fe, New Mexico Capitol Building. He spent a few years in Texas that were his most successful years in his business. In his last years he took on making Spanish Guitars, with his son in law, Roberto.  They made quite a few beautiful guitars. I grew up running through the shop and being around it quite a bit when my Uncles and my Dad formed The Workshop LTD together. He was a story teller and one of my closest friends in his last years.  It was during this time that my true love of woodwork  and inspiration came to be when I was able to be around him and work with him in his last days and I still look back at that time with gratitude.
